The Class of 1965 held its 45th reunion
on August 7, 2010, at 6:00 p.m. at Don Laird's residence, 86147 Laird Lane, Pleasant Hill. The cost was $20 per person. The classes of 1964 and 1966 were welcome. For information, call 541 954-1581 and get on the list for the next reunion.

A memorial service was held February 28, 2004, for Dave L. Aldrich of Dexter, who died February 15, 2004, from injuries he suffered in a car accident. He was 56.
Aldrich was born October 30, 1947, in Eugene to Gene and Donna Aldrich. He married his wife, Lynette, in Reno, Nevada, in September of 1986. She later died.
He grew up in Dexter and graduated from Pleasant Hill high School in 1965. He served in the Army in Vietnam and received an honorable discharge. He was a member of the U.S. Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He worked in the logging industry all of his life and was employed as a shovel operator for several years.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter and he enjoyed nature and animals. He especially enjoyed spending time with his aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and his many friends.
Survivors include a stepson, Travis Porter of Dexter; a step-daughter, Teri Kurzhal of Coburg; two brothers, Dale of Oakridge and Doug of Madras; and four grandchildren.
Saturday's service was held at 1 p.m. at the Pleasant Hill Lutheran Church. A graveside service will be held at the Pleasant Hill Pioneer Cemetery.
