  • 25th Reunion!

    The class of '86 is having a very casual and last minute reunion in June. As of right now, it is only on Facebook but we would like to get the information out to anyone interested. We are not mailing out invites....completely word of mouth! Here's the details: Boulevard Grill 2123 Franklin Boulevard Eugene, OR 97403 June 25, 2011 6 pm - 12 Midnight No cost but donations to the class member who is paying for the room rental would be appreciated. Hors d'oeurves will be served and there is a No Host Bar

    The following day we are also having a picnic/potluck!

    Jasper State Recreation Site (Jasper Park) June 26, 2011 Noon - 3 pm $5/vehicle entrance fee $1/person site fee

    Please bring a main dish and one additional item (such as chips, dessert or side dish) as well as drinks for you and your family.

I hung out with Cynthia Hancock and Kim Underwood. I knew Tim Smith. I wished I would never have moved. I did not graduate; I went through hell after moving. Please contact me if you know me.     Children: Tyler Douglas born 11/2/1994, Kaylin Brooke born 6/12/1996. Expecting another August, 2005, my third, her first
    Occupation: I'm a supervisor at First Data. We do credit card, statement processing, and anything dealing with those two things for banks.
    Comments: I put my ministries outside the home on hold for now, instead focusing on building my new family. I'm still involved in bible studies through my church and have been asked to teach some bible studies there as well. I like to read, mostly religion and politically based books. I especially like authors Frank Peretti, Tim LaHaye/Jerry Jenkins, and Sean Hannity. I'm looking forward to seeing a lot of familiar faces in 2006, assuming I recognize the faces, at the 20 year reunion. Hope to see you there! [May 24, 2005]

    Cynthia Hancock

    Cynthia died on February 24, 2005 in Springfield at the age of 37. The family chose not to list the cause of death. She was born Sept. 11, 1967 in Sacramento, to Gary and Nancy Hall Hancock. She attended Pleasant Hill High school. She had worked as a caregiver and enjoyed gardening, painting, music, and flower arranging. She had lived in Springfield for eight years and previously lived in San Antonio, Texas. Survivors include her mother, of Klamath Falls, and two brothers, Gary Hancock of Cottage Grove and Michael Hancock of Portland. The March 2nd memorial service was held at Dexter Lak Park, with Springfield Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

    Anyone who wishes to share memories of her can write to Richard Adams for posting for a more suitable memorial.

    Denise Bell comments: I was sad to hear about Cynthia, but I needed to know. She was my best friend growing up; she taught me to be positive and to be alive. She was a beautiful person, always smiling and full of laughter. I Will miss her

    Curtis Kreklau

    A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 21, 2009, at Riverside Community Church in Cottage Grove for Curtis Theodore Kreklau of Cottage Grove, formerly of Springfield. He died February 17, 2009, of a respiratory infection at age 41. He was born July 11, 1967, in Eugene to Carl and Judy Murphy Kreklau. He graduated from Pleasant Hill High School in 1986. He workede as "Wheels the Clown". Survivors include his mother; a brother, Chip of Cottage Grove' and a sister, Carla Kreklau of Springfield. Arrangements were by Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel in Cottage Grove. Remembrances to the Easter Seals Society.

    Wendy Kay Lanz

    Wendy, who was living in Scio, Oregon, died March 20, 2005, of injuries suffered as a passenger in a motorcycle accident. She was 36.

    Lanz was born July 24, 1968, in Anchorage, Alaska, to Alfred and Sandra Cleveland Lanz. She moved to the Pleasant Hill area when she was five and lived there throughout her high school years, graduating in 1986. She had lived in the Scio area for the past five years and was a department manager at Wal-Mart in Lebanon.

    Lanz enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping with her sons. Survivors include her mother, Sandy Davis of Coburg,; her father, of Scio; three sons, Christopher, Garrett, and Aaron, all of Scio; and two sisters, Mandy McGuire of Lorane, and Beverly Gates of Graham, Washington. The March 25th burial services were held at 11:00 a.m. in the Scio Baptist Church. Burial was followed in Miller Cemetery in Scio. Huston-Jost Funeral Home in Lebanon was in charge of the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to a fund for her sons, in care of Huston-Jost Funeral Home, 86 W. Grant St., Lebanon, OR 97355

    Luke and his girlfriend Angie died in the great tsunami of December 26, 2004. Kelly Heather Penselin found the website below that has details of his life after high school and pictures from age 2 to this haunting picture below of his walking out to the sunset sea.
