If you know about reunions, write to me so I can post them here.

2010 was Pleasant Hill's Centennial Year -- One Hundred Years of Class -- and a Centennial Class Reunion was held on June 5, 2010, the weekend before Graduation.

You can read a review of the event on the Centennial Page.

All-Year Reunion happened July 17, 2011, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. High School General Purpose Room.  Next one will be in 2013, third Sunday of July.

Wesley Scott Murphey, class of 1975, wrote a new novel in Oct. 2010. And this June 2011, he has another crime novel based on events in our area's past. Check out his entry in the Class of 1975

We have also authorized http://www.MySchoolReunited.com/PleasantHill/

to post reunion information.  Using FaceBook and MySpace may be O.K. for many, but teachers, public officials, and members of the armed forces are warned not to be members of those websites because of abuse and online vandalism that has happened in the past. The above link has been approved by PHSD Administration, however.  I will try to duplicate reunion information from MySchoolReunited on these alumni pages too.

If you are interested in adding your name to the alumni page, please e-mail Richard Adams (radams@pleasanthill.k12.or.us) with the following information:

  • Name (include graduation name in parentheses, if different)
  • Year of graduation
  • Current State of residence
  • Marital Status
  • Children (names, birthdates or years)
  • Occupation, company or location
  • Optional:
    • e-mail address and/or your own home web page, or MySpace/FaceBook links if you have them.
    • physical address, phone number (also tell if you want it public)
    • current picture (ATTACH a .jpg to your e-mail or send a picture to me at Pleasant Hill High School, 36386 Highway 58, Pleasant Hill, OR 97455, which I will scan and return to you if you send a self-addressed, stamped envelope along with it.)
    • any message for other members of the your class you want (no book-length manuscripts, now)
    • You can get a "public" e-mail address to use for purposes like this by getting a free one from hotmail.com or yahoo.com and just check it every week or two.  That way, if you get too much spam, you can just get another one and write to tell me the new address to put up on the page.

With the information you send, I can probably scan in your old yearbook picture for a comparison and put everything up where others can contact you, unless it's the Class of 1936. The person who can get me the 1936 annual will get a free copy of the alumni CD, showing the senior and faculty sections of all annuals from 1926-2010, plus listings for every graduate from 1910-2010 and every teacher from 1848-2010 (Thanks to the research of Richard Miller, Class of 1958) plus many historic group photos from years before yearbooks with pictures. If your year is in blue, it contains entries already.

Red means REUNION THIS YEAR! (at least the ones people have told me about and there's information available on the alumni page.) Pink meant a class nearby has invited you to join them at their reunion. Purple ones have already happened. Green means planning is already underway for the reunion next year.

A note for former teachers of these alumni: they want you to drop by the reunion.  They always ask me about the teachers they had and what you are doing now.  They'll recognize you easily because you've changed less than they have. Really. By the 30th reunions, EVERYONE looks at the nametags first.

Share your memories of Trent and PHHS this year!

In June 2009, PHHS graduated its 100th class. 2010 began the second century of graduations, our "Centennial Class."     If you have memories of Trent School, which closed in June of 2009, you can send them for posting on the "Trent Memories" webpage to Richard Adams, District Webmaster, radams@pleasanthill.k12.or.us.

A number of alumni have contributed pieces to the "Pleasant Memories Project," with stories of what they remember of students and teachers.  You can read them here.

If you want to find out some information about which faculty members you knew are still on staff and who has retired, click here.

• Teacher Carolyn Hoyer passed away in July 2010.  You can read about her life and see pictures from her first year of teaching at PHHS ('62-63) through her final year of 1974.

• Teacher Jason Waterman passed away in January of 2011.  You can read about his life and get a link to a guest book.
