The Patrick McCurdy Education Foundation was formed in
2003 after the passing of Pleasant Hill High School guidance counselor
Patrick McCurdy and daughter Olivia.
With the cooperation of the Pleasant Hill School District and the friends and family of Patrick McCurdy, the Patrick McCurdy Education Foundation (PMEF) was formed as a public-benefit, non-profit corporation with the intention of encompassing all ages of learners in Oregon.
In 2005 the PMEF founded the Reaching Out Mentoring Program, a school-based mentoring program designed for rural communities.
